alphabet soup brain
Well. I locked my keys in the car. To be fair, it’s a new-to-me car. I used an automatic key for 13 years and I’ve been using an old-fashioned one for only 3 days.
I could use this time to write out my thoughts about the state of the world, the state of the country, the state of Manatee. But lately, my mind is alphabet soup. What can I even say about human rights (and the many, many ways they're under threat right now) that hasn’t already been said better?
Now I’ve made it home; thank goodness my insurance covers locksmith service. I guess I can at least describe a few things that, in spite of it all, have made me smile.
The little birds who nest in the “pharmacy” letters on the front of Walgreens despite the anti-bird spikes.
The fact that my new-to-me car is light blue. Light blue is one of my top car colors, along with pastel yellow and mint green. Can we please make pastel colored cars trendy again?
The Artemis II mission and all the magnificent moon joy that came with it. This song by Camera Obscura will always make me think of it from now on. I even made some pixel art to celebrate the Nutella jar moment.
